From the Admin Desk: Week 26

I hate the fact that whenever we go AWOL, we leave some major shithead on the front page. Last time it was tattoo fiend Jesse James, this time it was clueless gayhater Carrie Prejean. We're sorry for those dick moves. We're trying very hard to get some kind of schedule in place, but when you work in a soulless wormhole that zaps all your energy and enthusiasm the moment you enter it, it's kinda hard to come back home and do anything other than crash on the couch.

We'll try our best to get the celeb speak to you on time.

From the Admin Desk: Week 25

I'm pretty sure there's a good reason why we go AWOL on some weeks, but I'm too hungover to figure it out. I'm going with the easier explanation: celebrities suck. And if I keep this up, I'm going to be out of a job soon.

We'll see how this week pans out.

From the Admin Desk: Week 24

Sometimes it's tough to be funny, especially when you see a nine-year old girl's funeral. In this climate of increased vituperative rhetoric, we really hope President Obama's speech didn't fall on deaf ears. We hope that people don't forget Christina Green's death within the next 24-hour news cycle. We hope that people will take some time to think about what has been happening, and whether it would be wise to let it continue.

From the Admin Desk: Week 23

Sorry that the first admin update of the New Year is up a little late, but it was languishing in the drafts section and went un-noticed by both of us. Anyway, fun-filled week lined up, with a couple of Disney princesses daring to bare. Their hearts, pervs.

From the Admin Desk: Week 20

Christmas is a musical occasion. And so, we thought we'd have three of the hottest ladies of the musical world write for us. It was a difficult task, to say the least, especially when JLo (yup, we got her!) made enough demands to build a new Taj Mahal. And pretty little Taylor was off "caroling" with Jake (is it still Jake, or someone else?), and you know how difficult it is to separate two, er, carolers. And Gaga was off somewhere being as delicious as ever, and to get her to accept a keyboard as more than a new costume was tough. But we did it, and the results are here to show.

Enjoy Christmas. Party hard, but not too much so as to end up next to a person you don't remember talking to.

From the Admin Desk: Week 19

Aaah, vacations! Finally! Thank God! This year has been a really hectic one, what with work, more work, and a blog, that I was despairing that I'd live till Christmas break. But I did, and I'm off. On Wednesday. To London, to visit my wonderful sister and her new baby. My co-blogger is going on a beach vacation with her boyfriend to the sunny sands of Malaysia. Don't worry, we have the whole Christmas thing scheduled, but the Twitter feed may be dormant. Anyway, check back for updates, coz your fav celebs have a lot to say this Christmas.

From the Admin Desk: Week 18

The last couple of weeks were big news weeks. Wikileaks orchestrated cablegate, which demonstrated that everybody hates everybody else. In India, the 2G spectrum scam took down a minister, a corporate lobbyist and a bunch of journalists. To celebrate this explosion of news, we decided to feature two headline makers. One is the now-famous elusive white-haired commander-in-chief of Wikileaks, who hacked into our account, created his post and then deleted all traces of his visit. Another is the rabble-rousing Barkha Dutt, who is now embroiled in quite a mucky bit of rubble. The third, well, we'll find a third guy in the news who's associated with the news, or else we'll just ask Linds to write for us again. Not that she has anything better to do.

2010- in pictures

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

For the readers of this blog is a very special gift, a photo montage of this year's most momentous events and memorable people, a flashback to 2010. If you like it, you're welcome to share it and display it on your blog. All we request is that you linkback to this blog.

From the Admin Desk: Week 17

I know we've been AWOL last week, and we're sorry. It was Hell Week, literally, with work swamping us up to the tips of my spiked hair. No Thanksgiving for us, only Cursethrowing. Anyway, this week is gonna be back to normal scheduled posts. We haven't decided who to feature as of yet, but look out for the lineup; it'll be amazing, as always. However, there are going to be a few design changes around the blog; we'll keep tweaking with the layout and stuff, so don't be surprised if the look changes with every refresh.

Anyways, wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you got your Christmas shopping started, or done. Don't be like me, running around to find my blog's co-owner a nice jacket a week before Christmas, when every shop and their mother were out of decent stuff.

Well, we have nothing much to say. Work is a little hectic, and we barely found time to get the posts up. Enjoy the lineup.

From the Admin Desk: Week 15

We were just going through our mail and we found three things. One was the three hundredth mail from Tila Tequila to publish her post. We got her post a long while back and just forgot about it coz, well, who wants to think about her? I thought, fine, let's publish her post, at least she'll stop spamming us.

Another has been a very popular mail doing the rounds: Obama's foreign tour expenses. If you've watched Fox News, you definitely know the whole balance sheet, including how many toilet rolls he's going to be using. We decided to try and find the source of the mail and after a lot of high-tech backtracking by a good friend, we traced the source to, who else, a GOP person! Well, she was only too happy to talk. We've also got a big-ticket business dude up here, a corporate raider who makes companies tremble in their boxers. Hope you have fun reading what they have to say.

The third thing. It was from my boss. He wanted to know why I was wasting company time doing all this "absolute nonsense".

From the Admin Desk: Week 14

To our Indian readers, we wish

Happy Diwali!!

Enjoy the lights and the sweets, but stay safe.

So the midterm elections in the U.S. are done, the Dems have received quite a drubbing. We don't subscribe to any party, but the Republican resurgence, primarily the Tea Party wave, deserves a nod from us. So we called up three prominent female faces of the Tea Party and begged them to write for us. One of them is a vitriolic conservative blogger, another was the Republican nominee from Delaware, and the third one is so familiar that you've probably already guessed who she is.

It was a tough job, getting in touch with them and convincing them that we were genuinely interested in what they had to say, and that their posts would not end up being parodied on Jon Stewart's show (it may, but we wouldn't have leaked advance copies). We'll try and have the Democratic point of view as well, when they sneak out of their bunkers and turn on their cellphones.

Happy Halloween!!

Have fun trick-or-treating, scaring your friends by dressing in wacko costumes and partying all night long. And in case you're wondering what we are going to be dressing up as, well it's right here.

In case you're clueless, he's going as Megatron from Transformers and I'm going to be the White Queen from Alice in Wonderland.

This week, we're going to be bringing you three celebs who've hogged headlines over the past six months: you are probably sick of seeing their faces everywhere, from tabloids to E! News to gossip blogs. Well, they have extended their tentacles to this humble blog as well. Don't miss it, it'll be a lot of fun.

And once again, enjoy your Halloween.

From the Admin Desk: Week 12

Next Sunday is Halloween, and we decided to celebrate it in a special way. Instead of our usual celebs whining about their lives and their problems, we decided to get some people to write as fictional characters. We picked out some of the most popular characters in fantasy fiction, and mailed some really famous writers (not the creators of the characters, but other writers) to write a blog post from their viewpoint. So what we have is a funny, irreverent take on where the writers feel the characters are today. We hope you enjoy this diversion.

From the Admin Desk: Week 11

Ever since the Commonwealth Games started in India, one half of this blogging team has been slightly distracted, praying that the whole thing doesn't come crashing down. The stadiums, I mean. Especially after those shit-laden pics were splashed all over the British press, that half has been making frantic phone calls to every living soul they know in India, trying to get the Indian Olympic Committee chairman for his comments. And finally, after the Games finished, he deigned to give us a piece. So, to get back at him for his high-handedness, and to soothe the other half's frayed nerves, I suggested that his post teamed up with that of a couple of notorious characters from India, who were quite eager to share their views with us. We think it's the best set of posts we've had in a long time. Keep reading, and tell us if you agree.

From the Admin Desk: Week 10

This week, one of our "esteemed" #@$% guests backed out, so there will be no post on Monday. But we have the self-crowned king of late-night up ahead, so that should be enough. Yeah, that fat old loser, the Cruella De Ville of TV, who can't let go of his long-gone crown. And we also have the Prince Charles of the business world- the heir who waited for the old king to die and ended up being booted off by papa dearest. That should be enough fun for this week- two non-kings.

From the Admin Desk: Week 9

We've got a power-packed lineup to compensate for all those missed weeks. Ok, not so much power-packed as controversy-packed, but still, you get the gist. We have the actor who spent two years in character for a movie nobody watched, we have an actress who went from a show everybody watched to a hairstyle nobody wanted to watch and we have...well, why don't you just see for yourselves?

From the Admin Desk: Week 8

Okay, so we started a blog, put up a couple of great posts, and then disappeared to Mars. Well, not literally, but it sure does feel like it. We could come up with a couple of brilliant excuses: (a) We're busy (b) We're really busy (c) Dude, you don't know what busy means unless you've met us. But in all honesty, that may not be accurate. Sure, the last few months have been crazy, but we could have taken out five minutes a day to unleash all that pent-up snark. Well, we did unleash the snark, but just not creatively enough (we did stale things like shout at everyone else). So, we are going to try and devote half an hour every day to doing something we love: being ourselves. We can't promise to be regular, but we're sure going to try as hard as hell.

So let Real Celeb Fake Speak: The Redux begin.
